President Dallin H. Oaks made a surprise appearance in the 2026 Days of '47 Parade in Salt Lake City on July 24, honoring the arrival of Latter-day Saint pioneers in 1847. He and his wife Kristen joined the procession following Relief Society President Camille N. Johnson, the grand marshal. The event celebrated pioneer heritage and Utah's history of many faiths.
